Program Description:
These 4-hour workshops will provide advanced instruction on nonsurgical facial rejuvenation approaches in the upper, middle, and lower face along with expert mentoring on improving injection techniques. Techniques for full-face rejuvenation, as well as treating areas beyond the face will also be addressed. This course specializes in the use of neurotoxins and HA fillers.

Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of the program, participants will be better able to:
- Recall basics of facial anatomy and physiology to assess anatomic changes related to skin aging
- Perform comprehensive patient assessment and manage patient expectations to improve outcomes
- Identify facial mapping areas specific to muscle control and facial volume depletion to analyze which facial zones to target
- Summarize the evidence and data involving botulinum toxin type A, HA-based dermal fillers, and biostimulators/semi-permanent fillers to assist in the appropriate selection and placement of these agents
- Identify appropriate patients who may benefit from nonsurgical procedures with injectable agents alone or in combination and increase skill in using these agents effectively
- Understand protocols and techniques for nonsurgical facial rejuvenation with injectable agents to optimize patient outcomes and reduce complications
- Implement best practices in injection technique for ongoing follow-up
Who Should Attend:
Clinicians with experience in performing non-surgical facial rejuvenation procedures on a frequent-to-daily basis. These workshops will address more complex cases, full-face rejuvenation, as well as expanding to areas beyond the face.
Hands-On Injection Training Workshop Requirements:
Attendees will have the option to participate or observe during the hands-on training. If you are planning to participate, you must provide the following on-site:
- One model (Please ask your model to arrive 1-hour after start of the program)
- FDA-approved, injectable products (obtained from a valid U.S. distributor) and medical supplies (List available under the FAQ tab)
- A valid medical license (for the state in which the program takes place)
- Supervisory Physician Approval Form (If you are a nurse, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant attending without an attending physician)
- PLEASE NOTE: If you do not provide us with these Mandatory Documents, you will not be able to participate in the workshop.
Injectable Product Requirements:
This is a CME-certified meeting, planned and implemented completely independent from the commercial supporter. To ensure that the integrity of this CME-certified program remains intact, please be informed:
- Attendees approved to inject at a hands-on workshop are responsible for bringing their own product(s).
- Please note: You must bring FDA-approved injectable products (obtained from a valid U.S. distributor) only. You will not be able to inject in the hands-on session if your injectable products are not United States, FDA-approved.
- Neither St Luke's and Roosevelt Hospitals, nor their joint sponsor Scientiae, is permitted to offer guidance on how or where to obtain product(s).
Treatment Areas/Techniques May Include:
Eyebrows, Tear Troughs, Cheek Volumization, Preauricular Fossa, Temples, Perioral Lines, Marionette Lines, Depressor Anguli Oris, Platysmal Bands, Ear Lobes and Nasal Bridge

TARGET AUDIENCE This program has been developed for dermatologists, plastic surgeons, and ophthalmologists, as well as other physicians, nurses, and physician assistants who have an interest in gaining and/or increasing their knowledge and technical skill to perform facial aesthetic procedures with injectable agents.

The American Nurses Credentialing Center will accept AMA Category 1 Credits, on a reciprocal basis, toward their ANCC re-certification
